The latest version of the Tilley LTM hat is perfect for covering sailors from the sun!
The features that differentiate it from the LTM5 are: a taller cap and wider brim for increased face coverage. It's a sun hat with exceptional lightness and resistance.
The undersides of the edges are green to avoid the effects of the sun's reflection on your face.
The Nylamtium (170Gr/m² double-layer) that makes up the hat is made from a tough, water-repellent, lightweight, quick-drying Supplex nylon fabric, guaranteed to resist wear and tear for life! The hat 's remarkable lightness, combined with a 3/4" ventilation mesh at the top of the cap, will keep you comfortable in hot weather and protect you from sunstroke!What's more, this Tilley LTM6 hat, like all Tilley hats, has a maximum sun protection factor of UPF 50+.
The AIRFLO hat's plus: The mesh issewn in a non-mesh way, so the polyester and cotton threads swell when wet, sealing the needle holes we see. Airflo hats feature this mesh band for better ventilation in hot weather, while offering UPF 50+ sun protection. It's a hat that provides effective shelter from the rain, thanks to polyester and cotton yarns that swell in humidity and ensure total waterproofing. And it's a hat that won't get lost, thanks to front and back drawstrings and great flotation.
Be careful when choosing your size: Tilley advises you to always go one or two sizes above your usual size, to keep your hat wide enough to allow perspiration to evacuate easily, so your head stays well ventilated.

A Tilley hat should be worn low and not too tight. You're sure to appreciate this feature, especially in hot, humid weather.
When you buy a tilley hat, you'll need to go up a size.
There needs to beenough space between the front of the hat and your forehead for two fingers to slip through easily. You should also be able to turn the hat from left to right and from front to back without feeling any friction on your forehead .
