Occitan Cross beret - Traclet
Its origins are uncertain, and its meanings diverse: solar, zodiacal, even esoteric. The Occitan Cross, characterized by its twelve bubbles or cheekbones, appeared as early as the second half of the 11th century on the coats of arms of the Counts of Toulouse. It has been used extensively since the 11th century.
Astrological supposition with the twelve signs. Toulouse's Place du Capitole square features the twelve astrological signs of the Occitan cross.
