Here are a few basic tips:
Handling
When fitting or removing your hat, keep the brim, front and back, close to the cap.
Avoid bending the brim or cap.

Protection
The best defense against dirt and grime is to pre-treat your hat with Gard-Plus, a water and stain remover. A good cleaning
Brush regularly to remove dust and dirt. Re-treat with waterproofing spray.
If the headband of a felt, fabric or straw hat becomes damp or clammy, turn the headband down and allow the hat to dry slowly, without the use of heat or fans.

Always check for color changes in hidden areas before use.
Keep the can about 10/15 cm from the surface to be sprayed, to avoid halos.
Wait until the cap is dry to the touch.
Before spraying, brush the hat counter-clockwise with a black hat brush until the hat is clean.
For very dirty hats, you'll need to do this several times, and repeat the operation several times if necessary.
All new hats can be pre-treated with the spray to prevent staining and protect against water.

Always check for color change in a hidden area before use. Can be used safely on all suede, leather and felt hats. Do not use on rawhide or raw leather. All items must be clean and dry before treatment.
Spray between 10-15 cm from the surface.
