Originally made from sheep's wool, wool felt hats are made from wool strands.

Fairly rough to the touch, it is less shiny and, above all, less soft than hair felt . Very robust, wool felt is insulating and resistant, but not very suitable for hot weather.

Beware: despite its water resistance, this hat is not suitable for heavy rain! Wool felt hats are not waterproof, but thanks to modern processes such as Stetson's vitafelt, they can be made both waterproof and foldable.
